This is the first Terry Pratchett book I've read, so I was apprehensive about it, but as it is a collection of short stories I figured it was a safe bet over Christmas. I REALLY enjoyed this book; the stories were easy to get into and very funny. His style of humour and sarcasm is close to mine and dipping in and out of these tales felt warm and comforting. May well dip further into Mr Pratchett's other works in the future.
It’s Sir Terry. How could it be anything but 5 stars? Always a balm for the soul!

This collection of stories is a great intro to Pratchett, which incidentally is very fitting even if just published, as it is a collection of early work published under a pseudonym. These wonderful short stories are witty, absurd and sometimes live without the confines of story arc. They would make tremendous kindling for children’s imagination. The pure joy of reading a story that exists with such freedom, just cuz. Absolutely brilliant. Excited to pick up one of his novels.
The first half of this book was not all that good with a lot of the stories feeling fairly boring and unenjoyable. However the second half was really great and had some good stories. The Quest for the Keys was awesome and is probably one of my favorite short stories now.
