I dont know, I can appreciate the effort of what the author attempted to do, but for me it all felt too reliant on the conventions of the very early magical realist stories.

It felt structured, the narration didnt flow. The author was ever present.

I liked it but didnt love it.

Es una lectura regular, me parece que a veces trata de impactar mucho y cae en los lugares más comunes posibles. Tiene algunas buenas ideas pero el desarrollo es bastante pobre. Los personajes y las situaciones no vas más allá de lo ‘violento’ o lo ‘monstruoso’

this was sooooo fucking weird but like… i kind of dig it. one of the rare indie man becomes dog tropes that didn’t make me so uncomfortable i had to drop it (idk why ive been seeing it so much lately)
