One of my friends told me I had to read this book. I'm sorry to that friend lol. Will I read the next one if they ask me to? Yes, yes I will. Because hate reads are therapeutic and especially fun if you get to tell someone else how you hate something

Okay wow!

At first I was convinced this was re-skinned mafia AU ACOTAR fanfic but I was having fun. Cate thinks like Feyre and Rhys wishes he were as cool as Lachlan.

Then about halfway it began to feel completely new. Or maybe I just haven’t read enough mafia romances. Anyway, I was engaged with the material and SCREAMING at the cliffhanger.

If you like Feysand, fantasy with “real world” settings, and billionaire/mafia romance then you’ll LOVE this.

Enjoyed the premise of the Fae being half in the human world. Felt slightly short for me, the brother didn’t play too much of a role and I was confused why making that bargain was to save his life when he wasn’t threatened by Gage? 
Cate was a bit full on at first but you do grow to like her. 
Definitely aspects inspired by ACOTAR, even some of the spice. 
The buffet is open line had to downgrade it by 0.25. 
Twist ending was good tho and will continue the series.

I bought this book because I heard it was SPICY! But, it was just spicy. I did fall in love with the MMC, however the MMF drove me nuts. Her character grew through the story so she was more tolerable later. I enjoyed the storyline and the side characters. I will continue on with the series.
