This FMC gives Poppy from From Blood and Ash a run for her money. But I hated being in Cate’s head more. She’s just so STUPID. I miss the person I was before I read this. I went in expecting it to be bad, but when it’s WORSE than that? Hell no.

Read this for the Kindle reading challenges where I have to pick specifically from certain books they have available.
I always grab a free book or close to free.
This one was "free" as in borrowed I guess.
Anyway. This book could be lumped in with a million other.. idk.. horny booktok craze books.
I'm not gonna shit on "spicy" (I like the classic word "smut" better, but w/e semantics etc~) books. Enjoy yourselves.
But the writing is.. mid, at best.
There's a lot of buzzwords and barely a plot. The fae in this book might as well just be humans with magic.
And the fae do not stick with their script - they're all over the place. Which is why they could literally be humans with magic and it would change nothing.
Anyway anyway anyway.
There are good parts in this. But they're very scarce, here and there. It's like only eating the parts you like out of a dish that you don't. There's some meat in this book and that's why I'll give it 2 stars. But don't push it.
