Liked the premise of a Trauma ER RN being pulled into a fantastically horrifying world and enjoyed the plot up until the "climax" so to speak.
I feel like every time a main character in an urban fantasy romance, or really any smutty romance, gets with her ML, they're immediately encountering trouble. I guess that's the draw of smutty fantasy though - predictable writing. Speaking of which, the writing kind of fell to the wayside after the meh written smut.
I cannot fathom why someone who has gone through the foster system, straightened out her life, and then became an RN has the poorest survival skills. For the plot, I guess.

I enjoyed the book a lot! It's fun reading about the fae and other creatures in the modern world.
I was all for Lachlan from page one. *what is wrong with me! I enjoyed the enemies to lovers, bickering, sarcastic banter with bargains being made and throw in forced proximity... damn, I was all for it! As much as I wanted his pov, I loved not knowing what was going on with him. I felt that sweet tension and craved it.
Stupid cliffhanger! UGH. On to book 2!
