3.5/5 🎧⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ I enjoyed listening to this book! It was fast paced and entertaining. If a little predictable at times. I picked this up at the right time tho cause book 2 came out yesterday and so I don’t have to wait for the story to unfold. I have a suspicion I know how this series will go. Like I said…it’s a little predictable but who knows, maybe I’ll be kept on my toes!

If Lach and Cate die, I am rioting!
I am so in love with these characters, this world and the whole thing. It was amazing.
It only loses a half star because the amount of confusion I still have after that cliff hanger is infuiating. I suspected Cate is linked to a Fae court somewhere, perhaps a decendent of the lost court of Lachs mother. What's with the ring. There is a reason he calls her princess because she is one. I think.
The next book comes out tomorrow, if off to camp outside the book store.

This is such a good book. Im so sad that the next book isn't released until April of 2025, but just know it will be an immediate buy for me. Cate Holloway has a mysterious aspect that is first introduced to the readers within the first few chapters and I continue to sit here fuming on what it could be. I have so many ideas as to why Lachlan Gage would be so protective of her and what the ring she wears really symbolizes.
