While the book lacked the spark I was hoping for, and the emphasis on lust over love left me feeling a bit disconnected, I’ll admit the ending caught me off guard, in a good way. I didn’t see most of it coming, and I genuinely appreciated that twist. The rest of the story, though, felt a bit too predictable and the overall tone leaned dull. Not a favorite, but not a total miss either.
