This book was pretty fun, though I didn't like how Griffin was so obviously a bad guy. Would have been better if his random "I'm gunna murder and terrorize the whole town" plan at the end was more organic...it just seemed to come out of nowhere, and the moment he says it you know it's not gunna end well. What would motivate him to do such a thing? He seems to have very little to gain from it...and there are too many ways for it to go wrong...
I don't know, I wanted to sympathize with the him more, so I was annoyed when he went full-on evil at the end.
Still, a fun story~

SUMMARY NOT A REVIEW.
He’s antisemitic. He’s an angry man with horrible manners and intentions. But I read also invisible man by Ralph Ellison and could only compare. This one is “scientific” and the other is social and spiritual. Both men commit crimes. One man is white and the other is black and the way they see and move through the world is reflected differently in their invisible-ness

This is one of those books whose main character is incredibly unlikeable, and for some reason I love to hate them. I’m quickly realizing that this is one of my favourite things to read (see Wuthering Heights, The Catcher in the Rye, etc.) and The Invisible Man pulls it off wonderfully. I had a great time reading this and the only thing that kept it from a 5 star was that I feel like the final conflict wrapped everything up rather quickly, but I still enjoy how it ended. Will definitely be looking into H. G. Wells’s backlist.
It’s just really not capturing me. Reading it is turning into a chore
