Though not as gritty or dark as its predecessor, Explorer: The Lost Islands is nonetheless an anthology worth reading. With strong entries The Mask Dance and Carapace, you get themes of temptation, longing, and friendship represented in beautiful artwork. The remaining stories aren't quite as strong and the morals of the various stories can get heavy-handed but even so, I'd recommend this to readers of all ages.

Loah by Michel Gagne is the cutest one in my opinion

Not as good as the first Explorer anthology and the stories could have been a bit longer. The stand-outs were The Mask Dance and Desert Island Playlist, both interesting and mysterious twists on the island theme. Will be interested to see how the hidden doors-themed anthology compares.

Almost as good as the first volume! A few of the stories in this are really well done, while others weren't really for me
