Reacher wakes up strapped to a table with no memory of the past few hours. He’s injured and doesn’t know where he is or what happened. He is (of course) in the middle of bad guys making a heist, double and triple crossing one another, and the theft of a secret with huge consequences for national security. I enjoyed the ride, but there wasn’t a lot of substance.

I’m finally back into my reading era with some more Jack Reacher. Unfortunately for me I found this story to be quite boring. It just didn’t feel like Reacher we know and love. It’s a too simple plot and one note character.

Glad I managed to be able to get this for a fiver on Amazon.

“He was in too deep. He couldn’t get back to the light.”

“My name isn’t important. What I want is. And what I’ll do if I don’t get it? That’s critical.”

“You’re never letting this go, are you?”

Another terrific thriller from my favorite minimalist action star. Escapist fiction at its finest. I don’t care that Jack is supposed to be 64 by now but hasn’t aged in many years like Homer Simpson. As long as Lee Child and Andrew Grant keep writing Reacher books, I will keep reading.
