I wish it didn’t keep some of the ableist language from the original, but this is an excellent graphic novel adaptation.
Graphic: Grief, Death, and Murder
Moderate: Confinement, Body horror, Fire/Fire injury, Gore, Injury/Injury detail, War, and Slavery
Minor: Ableism

The nostalgia for the Animorphs series probably helps, but I quite enjoyed this version of it. (I occasionally had to look closely to tell the difference between Tobias and Rachel, which was annoying, but probably just because of my personal difficulty with face recognition.) The characterization was great, and maybe even a bit more clear than in the original series (or maybe I was just oblivious back then to the deeper emotions behind Marco's constant joking). The sci-fi adventure and save-the-world-ness was just as much fun as I remember.
