Though the way the story is written was rather interesting, it wasn't really as much of a thriller as the author sells it to be. Because it's a "Maggie O'Dell" novel, the ending is slightly ruined what with the showdown between the killer and Maggie because the author wouldn't kill off a character that a whole series circulates around. Other than the very typical ending and the greatly irritating killer - who takes the entire book to finally kill someone only to get busted by the police before he can actually do anything - this book was fairly well written and I actually enjoyed some of it.

This was the best one so far in the Maggie O'Dell series. Loved it.

After reading Damaged, I picked up this book seeing as it was one we actually owned. I'm still not that connected to the characters in the series, but I do like them. This mystery also wasn't that amazing for me. It was good, it was intriguing, but I never had the feeling of "must read on", when I was reading a chapter or two each night. I don't know... I definitely plan on reading the rest of the series, but I still feel as if it were lacking a certain something.

Maggie really hates getting close to any dude, huh.
I'm pretty sure she's (mistakenly or otherwise) drawn her gun on every guy in the series who's shown interest in her.
