Good gods, this series will be the death of me... and I'll probably welcome it. Right from the get-go, there was action, suspense, heartache, and rapidly maturing characters. I could barely stop reading it for anything, I was so enthralled. While it could clearly be argued that this was a "build-up" addition, the story was nonetheless compelling and enticing, filled with betrayals, shocks, romance, and adrenaline. Talon's true motives were terrifying and I was definitely having a couple near-panic-attacks in public. As for the characters, well, what is not to love about them? Ember and her friends have grown up and matured and made sacrifices. They're all connected, and one of the most rewarding parts was a moment when Ember finally came face to face with what she was. Such a great character moment, among the many that were woven into this deeply emotional and riveting story. Gah, I just can't stop gushing! It was so good! I'm terrified of how it's going to end and legitimately fear what the body count will be, but honestly, I can't wait to see how it all wraps up. Huge, massive, enormous recommend!

It's going to be a long wait for the final book.

Because of the way the last book ended, it's practically impossible to review this book without spoilers. Let's just say that the love triangle was finally put to rest in this book, but it might not be for the reasons you suspect.

This book focused a bit more on Dante and gave us flashbacks of Ember and Dante in school---it pretty much established the fact that I'm just not a fan of the backstory chapters in these books. I don't feel like I learned enough to merit these full chapters. I did maybe gain a little more sympathy for Dante, but I still just can't really understand him. Mostly, I want to shake him and tell him to wake up.

Still, this book gave us some major revelations that I didn't see coming (though I feel like I've kinda sorta seen before---I still liked them, for the most part). The end of this book ratchets up the excitement and it had me eager for the final book, which I will be picking up any day now!

One more book left. I'm sitting at the edge of my seat. Yikes. Where's my popcorn?

Legion was so freaking good. We, of course, still have the same people and the same mission. Unfortunately, there's still talk and hints about this damn love triangle between Ember, Garret, and Riley. You'd think that I would eventually go along with it all.. but that isn't going to happen.

Luckily for me, these guys are growing so much throughout this series. Ember is becoming more likable to me somehow. Especially since she is finally taking responsibility for things now and knowing that her decisions can hurt people, even loved ones. Then there's Garret and Riley and honestly they haven't changed that much in my mind. I mean, they do seem to be liking each other's presence and such. Which could be a good thing if this horrible love triangle keeps happening.

I'm not sure what the heck is going to go down in the next book but I am pumped for it all!

3,5e ster.

An absolutely amazing sequel, we see so many storylines converge as characters are thrown into hellish situations with each other. The character development in this novel is absolutely INSANE and I loved how much the reader can connect and relate to all the characters, even the supposed antagonists.
