Listened to the audiobook via Libby.  Similar to the first book.  Theme geared toward an art heist, glad to see the same cast return.  Really enjoy the relationship between Kate and Nick.  Their love/hate banter lightens the read and makes for a fun “will they” type feeling.  Love a strong bad ass FMC and Kate fits that role perfectly.
Overall rating 3.5 since it’s a light easy read, entertaining

As per usual with Janet Evanovich novels, there is a crime, a chase and an epic ending to the crime. I thought this was a fun book - but it just took me a long time to read because well, it got kind of boring.

Overall - a fun read, but I don’t think I’ll be finishing the series anytime soon.

Fans of the first Fox and O'Hare novel, The Heist, will not be disappointed by this second installation, which has Kate and Nick trying to outwit a former White House chief of staff to maintain diplomatic face with China. To do so, the pair concoct some inventive plans and invite some old, and new, amusing friends along for the ride.

Kate and Nick are charming, as always, operating with a delicious undercurrent of sexual tension. The only quibble is that the final con is a bit anticlimactic and not nearly as interesting as the novel's earlier events. Still, this reader is looking forward to the continued adventures of Fox and O'Hare.

Action packed from start to finish. I think I liked this book's heist better than the first book, and I loved that the same characters got to come back. These books are always fun, humourous, and adventurous reads. Something fun to read over vacation or the weekend that's not too serious.
The ending felt a little too abrupt, but otherwise i enjoyed this read.

This was bit of a mixed bag for me- it was hilarious in places and I do absolutely love Janet Ivanovich, but I don't like Kate and Nick as much as Janet Evanovich's other characters, neither has much depth to their character and they're both quite predictable and I just don't enjoy these books as much.

The plot was quite convoluted and a bit repetitive. I also found the writing a bit too descriptive- everybody's outfit gets described, every place they visit gets described I don't feel like knowing what everybody is wearing all the time adds much to the story (there are a few places where it's relevant).

Won through Goodreads First Reads.

This was an enjoyable, light read, perfect for the beach. The story definitely kept my interest-- this is a page-turner-- but sometimes I wanted more depth. While there were issues faced by the characters, there always seemed to be an easy solution. I definitely craved more character development and detail in the narrative. However, I would read more by Janet Evanovich- especially between "heavier" novels.
