If I was asked to name the darkest book I've ever read I think I would pick this.

I put off reading it for a while as the blurb was a bit vague.

I don't want to give any spoilers, I don't think any of the characters had any redeeming featuures however you can't help but root for the male character.

Not for the faint hearted.

REVIEW

Okay, so I read this novella because I saw a TikTok by the Author saying that amazon was going to take it off kindle unlimited because of the content so I thought HELL YEAH! And it didn’t disappoint.

I cannot give a summary about the book without giving spoilers but the trigger/content warnings above should be able to give you an idea if you really want to know.

Despite the content of this story, the writing of it is beautiful. The metaphors and explanations; the way the world building is, makes it even more sick because of this. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a sick individual (hehe) but it wasn’t as dark as I was expecting (though it’s a lot darker than a few I have read recently). There’s nothing really negative to say about the story itself, it gave what it was meant to.

The reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I really do need some connection or emotional feeling (rather than on a moral level), but if that’s something that doesn’t matter to you and you like something dark, then you’ll really like this.
