The Pact is a little uncomfortable as it is a book marketed to teens but it does have explicit spice regarding 16 year olds. I just haven’t seen this before and it makes me question how sexual media written by adults for teen consumption in our society. Like is Euphoria acceptable because it is rated TV-MA and performed by adults? I think so, but The Pact is classified as a teen-ya book and although the characters are fictional they are still minors. It has an interesting concept and it was a page turner but it would feel more comfortable as a reader for the characters to be 18, even if they still had to be in high school.

This was short but enjoyable! A ‘why choose?’ When it comes to romance. This book ended on a bit of a cliff hanger which I actually enjoyed. It didn’t have a happily ever after epilogue. I’d be keen to read on in the series for sure 😊

Loved every part of this book, cannot wait for the next one!!

I'm hooked

I love that even though they were childhood friends, it wasn't an automatic harem where all of them agreed to share her. Instead, they're all competitive and want her for themselves. Is it too much to ask to add Grady and Asher to the group, though? Lol

Roman is my favorite because the quiet, broody ones always get me. Or maybe it's because with him, there is no doubt that Mila is special.

Hunter is the flirty, playful one of the group and I love it. There's always one in every RH. I love how persistent he was in getting her attention, especially in the latter part when he knew something was going on with Mila. And he's been the one most concerned about Roman, too. He may seem like he's just happy-go-lucky but he actually has a big heart.

Jace. I vote to eject Jace from the group. First, he's the asshole who made a fuss about Mila when she came back. Then what he did at the end, I don't know if I can forgive him.

I can't deny I am hooked and eager to read the next book. I'm nervous about the trouble Roman got into and I definitely want his father to die asap (is that bad?). Parents taking advantage and abusing their children rile me up so much.

Sometimes a series comes across your FYP and you have to drop everything and read it. This was that for me!!! @authorbelleharper wrote a series that is both heartbreaking and beautiful, sweet and spicy, and a sign that when you know you know.

Mila is forced to leave her best friends when she is 12. She moves to New York with her mom who doesn’t really care for her. Mila is then shipped back to her dad when she is 16. She can’t wait to see Jace, her neighbor since birth, Hunter, her friend since kindergarten and Roman, her friend since 1st grade when he pushed Jace and Hunter down. She thinks they will welcome her back only they are hurt by her leaving and her not contacting them. Will they listen to her? Will they welcome her back? Also what will happen when she starts to have butterflies for her soon to be step brother Asher!

This was amazing!

It was okay.

I'm not a fan of drawn-out RH romance.

Esp when the 3 main Hs are conflicted about who is to have her. Like most of the RH heros pretty much decide from the get go that they'll share.

This was a new twist with the guys unsure who she'll end up with and them fighting each other about it. NOT A FAN.

The h & HHH are not even together yet. There's just a lot of pining and that's not it. :-/
