absolutely gorgeous prose with distinct voices across each narrative. verity ritchie stuns with a unique perspective in each piece of short fiction in this collection, tackling concepts of gender, sexuality, and otherness. the characters of each segment are real and believable, with flaws and insecurities that help to further humanize their perspectives. from comedic takes to love/lust stories to speculative fiction that borders on our understanding of the “real” make for a whirlwind read with complex, intense queer themes.

A breadth of stories and genres. I suspect a fair amount of autobiographical content. Thank you!
