I really needed an easy read right now so this I what I choose and this comic is very cute and the illustrations are adorable. ( read last night )

This was a short and cute graphic novel, but the world building and plot felt all over the place. There was too many things going on for such a short story and nothing was fully fleshed out. The whole fantasy element was something that was especially confusing and not developed to the point it could have been.

This is a very cute book that is good for kids. For me personally, it felt a little too childish, but that’s not an actual flaw at all! I’m just not the right demographic!

much like many other graphic novels, this definitely suffers from insta-love syndrome. the stakes were so low but treated like they were really high by the narrative. i wish there was some more world-building before jumping right into the romance as i wasn't wholly convinced of their connection, although some scenes were pretty sweet.

i really enjoyed the brief glimpses of morgan's relationship with her family and friends.

not bad at all, but i think i was expecting to adore this, so my disappointment levels were a little high.
