There's so much this book noticeably skipped over, including character relationship development, but it also hit every spot for that dark romance/serial killer vibe that I've been into lately soooo onto the next book.

This was a good read extremely intriguing and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds. Genre-wise it’s a reverse harem serial killer bully romance. The bullying aspect is mild I do struggle sometimes with this particular genre but here it was fine mostly because Viola is totally badass and takes absolutely no shit whatsoever mess with her at your peril. It also felt low on the scale in severity more mean boys and girls than full-out bullying.

Here Viola a dark girl with a penchant for punishing sinners and making them bleed goes undercover at a posh prestigious school with some shady connections. Initially contracted to take out Lorcan for his part in the death of a classmate Viola finds that what started off as a straightforward hit soon evolves into so much more as she becomes emotionally involved and Viola is only working with a part of a deeper puzzle.

As she digs deeper she discovers a whole web of intrigue and exploitation that reaches to the top and the school is firmly at the heart of it. As Viola finds herself drawn to three individuals Lorcan Dino and Jude her mission perimeters change the cat is firmly out of the bag her cover blown wide and she will now need to choose a side wisely.

This was well written I adored that Viola was such a strong individual and was also self-sufficient and wasn’t afraid to take what she wants. This was unusual in such that the female protagonist was slightly older in age she’s twenty-three posing as a schoolgirl. The boys I think are eighteen so younger an intriguing dynamic.

I’m intrigued by how this dynamic with this group is set to change and mature especially since they’ve all gone slightly rogue. This had danger and suspense and some delicious heat and some definite mystery. Viola's past is somewhat of a blank book with some little hints to tantalite. I’m looking forward to learning more about everyone as up till now we have only got some surface stuff and vague intriguing hints.

I was slightly confused with some of the diary posts from Aurora and what had actually occurred previously leading on up to her demise. I think they were intentionally vague to pull the reader in and keep them invested. So far I’ve got a solid idea of what occurred but I’m also intrigued to discover if there are going to be maybe some curveballs thrown into the mix.

This had some serious chemistry and definite heart. It was well written with a gripping central story to hold your attention and it was an easy read. I’d recommend this if you like your romance to skirt the boundaries and you like a dark read where the central characters are morally grey and not dark dark. Yes, there’s blood and murder galore but at heart, this lot still have morality there just equally vengeful about making the sinners pay with there blood.

Great Dark Romance

I have noidea why this book has sat in my KU for months unread.I’m so mad I didn’t read it sooner it’s so good the twists and turns had me second guessing myself. I’m still not sure who the bad guys are for sure so I’m off to read book 2 now.

WOOOOW. Now this isn’t the darkest book I’ve ever read but dang does it take you somewhere gray for sure! I honestly was hooked from the very start of this story with a badass main female character - yes please.

Viola is a bad ass assassin who goes undercover at a prestigious high school to find the person she is meant to kill next. What she doesn’t expect is to start questioning everything about her mission… she is a true force to be wreckin with & she doesn’t any bull. Trust me when I say you don’t want to be on her bad side.

There are so many plot twists & bombs that go off in this book that had me ROLLING!! I mean come on this stuff got intense! If you like darker romances with unconventional characters & an INSANE ending - this is a must for you!

The third story in the Violent Tendencies Anthology. This one I found harder to get into. I know the author is writing a full-length version so I wonder if that is why this version was more choppy. I like the concept, but didn't find the story to be smooth.

The first serial killer series that I absolutely loved is the Mindfuck series, and I was sort of hoping for something with similar vibes here.

Viola is pretty fierce, and I like all the double-crossing. I'm usually not a big fan of mafia books though.

If you like mafia and high school, this is the book for you. The combo means I probably won't read the next one though.
