"A History of Violence" by Mallory Fox is a dark RH serial killer bully romance that centers around Viola, Lorcan, Dino, and Jude. This book contains many dark themes so make sure to check out the content warnings before reading.

Viola is a twenty-three-year-old assassin who is the badass heroine in this book. Her next assignment is an undercover job at Sacred Hearts (an elite high school where Mafia kids attend). Although she finds this job difficult because of the endless bullying and gossiping, she's able to handle it well but meets three boys along the way who tangle themselves in her mission.

Lorcan is Viola's target as he allegedly brutally raped and killed his ex-girlfriend Aurora. As Viola observes Lor, secrets are revealed and Vi and Lor find an attraction to one another. Dino is flirty and although Vi is annoyed by him, he grows on her. Jude is Aurora and her sister, Cecelia's, cousin. Jude is protective and doesn't trust Vi at first because he has his suspicions about her.

This is Viola's most interesting assignment because these seventeen-year-old boys seem like they are enemies however they are actually best mates and have been victims seeking revenge. As Viola continues to spy and become closer with Lorcan, Dino, and Jude, many secrets and twists are revealed. Viola has several opportunities to kill her target, Lorcan, but she doesn't because Aurora's diary provides further details of her death and Viola realizes that her assignment is much bigger than she thought.

I enjoyed the plot and characters in this book! There were also a lot of whumpy scenes that I loved. I'm excited to read the rest of the series!

✨✨✨✨A History of Violence by Mallory Fox✨✨✨

This is by far the darkest read you’ll have out of Mallory til the full version comes out and turns you upside down. From the first page, you’ll be pulled into this dark world. Viola had an apathetic mind when it comes to the dark and strange things that interest her. Viola is a character that you don’t wanna mess with, her dark aura will warn you away!! She gets assigned this project, her only problem as she approaches the project is that she knows the person as well as grows feelings for him. As I read this story, I’ve made a connection to the characters reminding me of Mallory’s very first babies Seth and Pearl from the War of Hearts trilogy that can be found on Kindle Unlimited for free. My thought is that Duke and Viola are my two new favorite characters for now. It’s crazy how we all know in our heads that Viola is a sociopath but hides it so well around Duke. Viola is going to throw you for a loop, don’t say I didn’t warn you!!! I want more after the ending left me hanging. Get ready to buckle up, Duke and Viola will be taking you for a ride!! I loved this story! Also there are trigger warnings, they’re mentioned in the beginning. This is a RH for a four book series. Recommended for readers 18+

WHAT A RIDE

I didn’t know how I would feel from the first chapter!! But I fell in loveeeee! Viola is badass and awesome and I low key wanna be her ! The plot is full of twists and turns and I need to know more! The guys are PERFECTION AND I claim Lorcan (; can’t wait for the next one!!

○ Undercover adult student
○ Violence
○ Triggers

My overall rating for A History of Violence is…

5 Stars!

A fierce and black-hearted hitwoman returns to high school as she scouts out her latest hit. We always see women with older men in fiction, whether it be a few years or many, so reading a book where the female is 5 years older then her devious love interests has got me all kinds of hot. I really love the personification of Viola; the bleak, almost emotionless state of mind she encompasses to keep her inner psychopath at bay is uniquely beautiful. I also adore the boys and their twisted souls. The storyline was dark and dangerous with qualities that kept me immersed from page one. Also, that cover is so freaking hot! Overall, an invigorating and exciting page turner for lovers of all thing dark and twisted.

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I actually loved this book, only 4 stars because I do feel like there could have been more of a relationship with them all, like they were just altogether at the end and I was like eh when did this happen. I’m hoping to get that for the second book!
Loved the story line and how badass the MFC is

Amazing

Cliffhangers man they get it me everytime but I can honestly say I love this book it might be dark for some but if you don’t have any issue with dark and steamy than I definitely recommend I can’t wait for book 2 to come out

I felt as though this book was a mess for me. Choppy and I'm left with questions confusion. I did like some aspects of the book but not overly intriguing
