I love the FMC and how she is written, I always want a strong badass woman to be the star. The book started slow but really built up great with some really nice spice!

I need more!

Ever wanted a book with the angst of a high school romance but with a FMC out of her teen years, this book is for you! Mallory Fox has crafted this fun and interesting story with possibly the best reason to ever go back to high-school. Or should I say reasons?

Viola is a killer character, literally, she's a mercenary for hire and she really loves her job. Obviously that makes her an instant favorite of mine, I have a weakness for serial unalivers and psychos.

Viola is hired to kill someone at Sacred Heart, but when she gets there she realizes there's a lot more happening under the surface of this school. We're only getting a peek at what is happening at this school and I'm so frustrated not knowing more!

Viola is also slowly building her relationship with 3 of the guys that rule this school, Lorcan, Jude and Dino. Whew, we haven't seen much of these guys yet, but one scene with Lorcan and I am hooked! He may be in high-school but I see why Viola can't leave just yet.

I’m in complete awe of Mallory Fox right now. A History of Violence just creeped its way up to one of my top reads for 2021. The story kept me hooked from the very first page and it didn’t let me out until I finished it the next day.

Viola is a bad ass FMC who has a penchant for violence. Lorcan, Dino, and Jude call out to my dark soul. Dante, I’m on the fence about. I want to love him but I need to read more of his story before I fall completely in love.

Please heed the trigger warnings, this book touches on some very dark aspects, which for me personally, is the absolute best part of it.

I highly recommend reading this book. Please note that it’s not the same story that was part of the anthology earlier this year. I will be sitting here in my corner, trying to patiently wait for book 2

I went into this book blind and I really enjoyed it! This why choose, serial killer, enemies to lovers romance had so many twists and turns! The story is quite unique and the author has done an amazing job with distinguishing the characters.

The narrators Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley were perfect to voice these characters. I don’t think I’ve listened to their work before, but I definitely will if I get the chance to.

The story, narration, twists and turns kept me hooked and I can’t wait to continue this series!

A History of Violence is book 1 in the series A Violent Agenda. This is a reverse age gap, why choose romance. Viola is a tough heroine that can definitely hold her own. Lorcan, Dino and Jude were all interesting heroes that each had their own unique personalities and flaws. The chemistry between Viola and her men was intense. This story was on the darker side packed with drama, action and plenty of sexual tension. At times the storyline felt all over the place for me. I still have so many questions, so I’ll definitely be reading the next book to see what happens next.

Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley did a really good job narrating this story.

Alright so this sounded really interesting from the synopsis. I think many people would/do enjoy this series. Unfortunately, this book has one of my least favorite things which is have a 20 something year old be with a newly turned 18 year old. It's creepy and gross to me. I didn't realize it at first because I thought the Love Interest was someone else until this last part I read and realized that this just wasn't going to be my cup of tea at all. No hate to anyone if they enjoy this type but I personally can't stomach it so I will not be finishing this book and series.

Yasssss

I enjoyed this book when it was included in the violent delights anthology. Enjoyed it again as a standalone. can’t wait for the second to come out! I am silently hoping Dante joins the harem
