Incredible world-building but it felt like the book was over-complicated for the sake of being over-complicated. The first half to two-thirds of it felt largely unnecessary.

Le pongo tres estrellas, porque a pesar de que la historia me ha encantado y de que pienso que el autor tiene una imaginación desbordante, aterrizar y dejar de lado la confusión me ha llevado hasta la mitad del libro. Erikson te suelta en el mundo de Malaz sin paracaídas y te tienes que buscar la vida, pero una vez que le pillas el truco es una delicia. Hay tantos personajes y tan poco introducción dedicada a los mismos que es muy fácil perderse. El WB es una locura, tan rico que marea. O lo odias o lo amas y estoy en el segundo grupo, pero puedo entender que algunos hayan tirado la toalla porque hay que echarle paciencia.

DNF 50%. First 25% - plain drivel. Prose especially. Second 25% - drivel became bullshit. Stop recommending this incoherent bullshit to people. It's getting better after book 3 out if 10 is not a good thing, really. It implies speculative marketing strategy and leads to over hype via "complex" plot. I have a strong suspicion that the whole series is just: let's sell, some script we wrote for RPG setting, as a 10 book series. And yes, don't forget supposed "philosophical" discussions in the later books. 0 points from 10.

Absolutnie. Absolutnie nie zgadzam sie, ze jest to trudna ksiazka. Owszem, ma prog wejscia wyzszy niz typowe fantasy, ale przez to wciaga. Korzystajac z dramatis personae i glossariusza idzie sie bez problemu polapac co i jak, trzeba tylko brnac do przodu. Czytac uwaznie, powoli. Wizualizujac sobie wszystkie powiazania miedzy postaciami.

Ocena bylaby chyba o oczko nizsza, gdyby nie byla to pierwsza czesc cyklu, ma sie odczucie, ze jest tylko fragmentem wiekszej ukladanki.

Pora na kolejna czesc, gdzie spis postaci jest jeszcze dluzszy, i prawie w calosci jest to nowa obsada. Dzieki Pan Steven.
