This was an interesting short story set on a planet in a futuristic society. I liked Alex (the detective), and the other cast, including Father Bob and Freak. This was completely different from Anthony Ryan's fantasy series, but it was well written and engaging. I'll likely keep going with these!

So much plot, world building and so many characters in such a nice little package! I want to get to know them all a lot better. So I'll definitely be picking up the next novellas of the series!
