I have never hated a main character like I hate the MMC of this book. Every time it was in his POV or talked...my eyes have never rolled farther back in my head. I grimaced and verbally yelled at my phone so much. He sucks.
The premise of the story and the vehicle of story telling was actually really interesting. The author mixed mediums in a kinda cool (if not at first confusing) way. Some parts when just straight up prose in character POV, and some were news reports, reddit threads, tweets, or group chat messages. At first it was jarring, but then I actually really liked it. This is also one of those stories where you know that you don't actually know what's going on until there's a sudden shift and things start to fall into place.

Let’s say it all together now:
I hate men.

(Except my boyfriend who is excluded from this statement as I trained him well 😘)

Basically, this book very much gave off delusion. Because that’s what a lot of men are…. Blind to their own mistakes. Won’t take any responsibility for their actions. Their thoughts are founded by deep rooted misogyny…

The reveal with the women…. Wasn’t a fan of that also. It felt like it stripped away the point of the book to be honest.

So I’m gonna go with a 3-3.5 stars for this one. May change my mind though 🫠
