I will start by saying that this is a really fun series in the spirit of “ The Chronicles of Narnia.” I really enjoyed the series overall.

However, the third installment has the most plot holes of the trilogy. Even with that being the case, I really love the main characters, and I will get my 10yo to read it soon.

I enjoyed a lot of the elements of this story; the character development was so rich and faceted. The Wildwood setting and the lore of the world were really good, almost to the point of distracting from the plot itself. I wish I had been more satisfied with the ending, but I just didn't feel like everything was finished to my liking.

I think the Prue deserved a better ending.

This book did a great job if tying in the loose ends of the series. I really enjoyed escaping into these books. The best word that comes to mind is "gentle" when describing them. They move at a somewhat slow, but lolling and rocking pace. Don't be in a rush to get through them. Just enjoy being in Wildwood.
