Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros is a book that left a deep impression on me, more than I ever expected. The plot, a thrilling rollercoaster, is packed with unexpected twists that kept me eagerly turning the pages late into the night. It's a world Yarros created that's both intricate and captivating, drawing you in from the very beginning.
The characters in this story are incredibly complex and relatable. Yarros has a gift for crafting individuals who feel real, with genuine struggles and growth that resonate deeply. I found myself particularly attached to one character whose journey was inspiring and heartbreaking. Their loss struck me profoundly, bringing me to tears—an experience I’ve only had once before with a book. The emotional depth Yarros brings to her characters is unparalleled, deeply affecting their joys and sorrows.
Yarros’s writing style is nothing short of beautiful. Her prose flows effortlessly, balancing lyrical descriptions with engaging dialogue. The vivid imagery painted a clear picture of the world and the characters’ experiences, immersing me completely in their story. Each scene is crafted precisely, ensuring that every emotional beat hits just right.
What truly sets Fourth Wing apart is how it combines gripping action with heartfelt moments. The relationships between the characters are rich and multifaceted, adding layers of meaning to the story. I found myself laughing, crying, and cheering alongside them, deeply invested in their outcomes.
This book is a masterpiece, a rare gem that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. It’s not just a story; it’s an emotional journey I felt privileged to experience. Fourth Wing is an absolute must-read for anyone who loves a compelling plot, richly developed characters, and beautiful writing.

(Graphic audio)
An EASY five stars for me! I love this book so much!! I loved the world, the dragons and most of the characters -the rest I loved to hate. 😅
I cried so much towards the end, I think more than I ever have from a book. But I also think the graphic audio made it even sadder for me. And now that I mentioned it: This was my first time listening to a graphic audio and it did not disappoint! I got completely caught up in the world and it all felt so alive. The narrators/actors (whatever they are) did a great job! 😍
To me, the book felt so well written. Every time I come across one of these types of books, I get so impressed with the authors. How do they make this stuff up?? 🤯
Let’s just end with this:
I LOVE Xaden!♥️♥️♥️

I’d read so many reviews trashing this book’s writing style and lack of originality, that I wasn’t sure I was going to read it all. glad I did! the reviews are accurate, except that it was incredibly easy to identify with violet. and that identification made the ups and downs - clichéd, no doubt - really fun.
I loved that dragons and humans can communicate in this world.
