Nope. I did not like this at all. The writing was really juvenile, the characters acted like teenagers and even though I sometimes enjoy badly written books this was not it. If I didn’t buy it as a physical book I would have DNF’d it. I hate when people say this but why is this book so popular??

Let me start by saying that as someone that loves fantasy books I was apprehensive about reading this one especially because it was impossible to be on bookstagram or booktok and not see it everywhere, I was afraid to be disappointed.
But you know that feeling when you finish a book, and it leaves an ache in your chest because it was so good, and now it's over? Yeah, that's exactly how I felt after finishing Fourth Wing. In my opinion, the worldwide furor these books have generated is quite justified. Rebecca Yarros has truly brought an incredible world to life, reigniting my passion for reading that I hadn't felt in ages.
This book is Harry Potter x Hunger Games x Game of Thrones - filled with adventure, young adult drama, romance, politics, dragons, and more.
"I am the sky and the power of every storm that has ever been. I am infinite.”
Violet is truly one of my favorite FMC in a long time. I cant say enough about how much I love the way she fearlessly defends the people she loves, the way she wants to see the good in people, the way she fights until she physically cannot fight anymore. I really liked and appreciated the chronic illness representation, especially because she never allowed for it to define her much less hold her back. Despite having weak joints and being perceived as weak/fragile, she was a total bad ass! Her mind is a weapon by it’s own and she conquered her anxieties and fears during challenges in the rider's quadrant, with her smarts and tenacity.
"Should I get the Wingleader?"
It is possible, though, that my favorite character might honestly be Tairn - known as one of the deadliest and strongest of dragons, but with Sygel, Andarna, and Violet he was loving, protective and very sarcastic

MILUJU.

Premise is good, but main character is sort of annoying. Very center character focused, so sometimes I felt disconnected with the rest of the characters. Would have enjoyed thus more if it wasn't first person POV and got to learn about the school, dragons and other characters.
