This book is what it is. It’s a fun read. I would recommend and I enjoyed it. However, it was very predictable. I was able to guess every plot line. Even the ending, and the death. 

And let’s not call this enemies to lovers. They are never true enemies. More like annoyed classmates. So much of the dialogue was so cringy. Did she really say she was “volun-told”? 

That said, I’m still glad I picked it up to see what all the fuss was about. It was a good time. Enjoyed the dragons and their personalities. Enjoyed most of the battle scenes too. I will continue the series, but probably not immediately.

Super easy read that gives you everything you’d expect with a few twists and turns. Sure, it lacks the depth and nuance of other fantasy novels, but sometimes my brain just wants to dive into something that’s easy and keeps you interested in its adventure and simplicity. Like reality tv, but for reading. Mindless and thoroughly enjoyable.

I just can’t read on anymore. It’s very poorly written and the dialogue is like so out of place.
