I loved this book. It is my first venture into fantasy but I absolutely loved it. I loved the main character and the love story there but also all story was brilliant and I can't wait to read the next installment!

Yall. Why was no one SCREAMING at me to read this???? I LOVED IT! And dragons are…funny?!!!!

So yeah let’s start with the fact that Tarin was fucking hilarious, like please he had me cackling the whole time.

One thing I enjoyed most about this book was that Violet didn’t magically become an expert dragon rider and still had her faults in hand to hand. I love that rather than “oh she just learned”, accommodations were made. Felt as realistic as a book about dragons could be LOL. Also her poisoning her opponents before meeting them on the mat? pls. absolute queen
