95/10 stars. Jeez this book had me in a death grip lol best book of the year so far in my opinion. The world is interesting, I loved and got super attached to the characters even side characters. I'm obsessed with Xaden and his nickname for Violet. I loved this book so much and now I'm stuck waiting for book 2 for however long.... funny though I knew I would love this book as soon as I saw it. I haven't read a book this good in a while and it gave me vibes from so many good other series and the plot twists were a shock, I wasn't prepared for that ending at all. I still don't know how to feel right now. This was crazy good. If you love dragons and if you liked Divergent I think you would enjoy this. It has a little bit of everything. All the tropes that matter were covered
