Whoa! I can't fully describe how I am feeling about these books. I am both captivated and bored (?). Is that the right word? I don't know. I find myself setting the books down to scroll on social media too often. I WANT to know what is happening in the book and I like the characters, but it is dragging. I want to explore the paranormal piece a little more. I assumed it would drag being a 10 book series, but can we get on with it already. We are on book 3 and she is with 2 of the 4 main guys. A third is "going to think about it" and the fourth seems so far away from being a integral part of her life.

The ending of this one was crazy. Each book has ended on a huge paranormal moment, but throughout the books we don't get anything paranormal going on (except for brief mentions). After being 3 books in, I NEED ANSWERS so of course I will continue. The mystery, suspense, and great characters are keeping this at 4 stars for me. Sometimes by the end of series - I forget about these little frustrations and decide the whole series is a 5 star read, so I write this review just to remind myself that it wasn't easy. Its like misremembering how hard pregnancy is. I think I would have enjoyed these more as audiobooks. On to the next.......!

This series is taking me for a ride! I didn't know where this one was going to go, but I love that part about it. We don't know too much about the US after the Collapse, but we keep getting more and more snippets as the series moves along.

This book was pretty packed with action and it was also steeeeeeamy! Shew...
