I don't think there's a possibility of finding a Chicken Soup book that I don't like...or better yet, that I don't love! It certainly isn't going to start with this one!

I love the collection of different stories...the quotes on each story...I honestly love everything about these books! And this one was so incredibly uplifting!

They also make EXCELLENT bathroom readers! HA! On to the next one!

Finally finished this book and I have to say, it's well worth venturing through! I've been casually reading the collection of stories since January and it was a lovely read to peruse each morning! Mind you, at times, difficult. Let me explain:

Considering it's a collection of stories, you surely get a quick sense of gratification in moving through the titles of the book. Though, more than just that gratification of finishing the book, there's many stories within this novel that truly stuck out to me. I'd be surprised if someone were to leave reading one of these stories and not have a single story that stuck out to you. The multitude of struggles, triumphs, and plowing endeavors to battle through in the face of the more... vile side of life, is no short of encouraging. The statement of, "surviving in the face of great suffering" is suffice enough to say for many a tale told.

And yet, there are some that leave you with the "feel-good" feeling you get from the ideal outcomes regardless of a poor deck of cards, or the joys in noticing the mundane parts of life.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is a testament to the "windstorm" that life can be. Saying life is complex is an understatement in reading the full and deeply lived experiences of the hundreds of whom have shared their stories, lessons, struggles, and admiration.

I've read enough. After reading the same basic anecdote 29 times, I quit. This series seems to have run out of things to say.

That's my story, story #5 - page 11 : ) Probably the most pivotal moment of my life thusfar. Still cry whenever I tell this story. But I give this book 5 stars because I love me some Chicken Soup and this one is my absolute favorite. It's about feeling grateful, finding grace, and we can all use some of that most days.

I have read a few of these books in the past and really enjoyed them. Quite recently I thought that I would like to read more. This title was the one that really appealed to me and I was certain that I hadn't read. I have to say that I was overall quite disappointed. A lot of the stories were very similar. They were mainly stories about people who were faced with a life changing illness and found a way to turn their lives around and be positive. My favourite story was the one about the lady who could not have children. I will read more in this series but research the titles more thoroughly.
