Una estrella porque no puedo ponerle menos.

No puedo soportar éste libro porque siento que le falta la parte donde piden perdón, se arrastran y ruegan que los perdonen.

I quite enjoyed this. I loved Tali’s in the other books so I’m glad to have read her book. However, I didn’t really connect with Foster although I did love his single dad vibe. That was nice to see. I think Talia is an amazing character. There was just a little bit missing for me to give it a full five stars. But I am definitely excited to continue the series.

Okay, I am fresh off of reading the first two books before this. I think I can say with 100% confidence that this is the weakest book so far. The others were just so good that it’s going to be very hard to top them, and this one didn’t get there.

I also think Foster and Talia were my least favorite couple out of the three so far. There’s just… nothing going on there, in my opinion. Talia doesn’t even stay mad for longer than like a day, which was annoying. Like, girl, stand up for yourself!

I also thought the reasons Foster had for marrying whatshername were pretty thin. I think he was scared and let himself be bullied into marrying someone he didn’t love. Also, whatshername (I genuinely can’t remember, that’s how little her character matters in the grand scheme of things) just seemed super spoiled & didn’t seem to feel all that bad for ruining a man’s life/chance at happiness. I DO like the emotion & the commitment Foster has for his daughter, though. I thought that was a nice little plus.

spice level:

I was worried I was going to hate this (because people really seem to) but I liked foster and tally! I’m typical fashion, all conflict resolved quickly and neatly but that’s what makes it an easy summer read.

I liked this book but I also thought that the reasoning behind Foster’s secret was a little lackluster. also, are these books leading to a big mafia reveal because this is book #2 where the mafia has been mentioned??? I will say the Kadence of it all was a shocking twist to this story.
I went back on forth with Talia, I liked her and I definitely understood her anger towards Foster, but she was very frustrating in the fact that she wouldn’t let him explain now I don’t know how I would react if I was in her shoes so I can’t judge her for that but still it was frustrating. I did feel for her though with her job and also she’s a better person than me because I would given Rachel a piece of my mind.
Foster… he was aggressive with his plan and also dumb with his plan. 7 years dude and he just expected Talia to want to have dinner with him, then to give her a ring on top of that!? my guy did not think his plan through so it’s a miracle he got another chance 😂.
now that ending, I thought that it was going to be Jasper & Lyla’s book that would be next not Jasper & Eloise 😳.

Ugh I don’t think I get why this 2nd chance romance worked out in the end, but still liked it enough to give it 3 stars. (Really 2.5 rounded up).
