This book surprised me. I picked it up at the library without it having been on my to read list, brought it to the beach not really expecting much from it, and really found myself immersed in the story from the beginning. The characters were all interesting, the mystery and the atmosphere were great, but something changed towards the end. It felt rushed, it felt shallow, somehow less than the rest of the book. It struggled to not skim too much, and just wanted it to be over by the last few pages, which is disappointing because I loved the beginning so much. As a whole then it was fine, but it could have been much better with a better closing.
I forgot I was reading this book, that is how memorable it was. Since I hadn't picked it up in weeks I'm bailing on it. So many things were wrong with it I couldn't get past the pettiness of the antagonist.
The first 50% of this book was confusing as hell because of all the characters, but the last half made up for it as things started making sense! Also the psychology of time travelers is a pretty cool thing to discuss
A brilliant sci-fi with a combination of murder mystery. The author tells stories from 3 different timelines and builds up an unique universe that can facilitate time travel with some constraints attached. The writing will keep you hooked to the book and want you to crave for more. That being said and done, from a murder mystery perspective it has a brilliant plot. The plot devices of time travel adds more to the twist. Among the important plus points of this book is that it is an LGBTQ+ friendly book, so it is a must read for those who out there like a good pageturner and get hooked up to a book and sits down there thinking for a long time about the story itself.
A delightful read with an interesting (and flawed) cast of characters who converge on a thrilling (if unusual) climax. The time travel aspects reminded me of Gerrold's "The Man Who Folded Himself" with a tinge of Niffenegger's "The Time Traveler's Wife" -- both favorites from my past. (And a little Doctor Who, too!). The psychological aspect added another interesting layer and speak to the author's background. A solid debut; can't wait to read what Mascarenhas writes next.

I couldn’t finish it. Irritating characters, irritating format in writing dialogue. And worst of all, time travelers spent lots of time with their past and future selves. Unforgivable!
