I think this book is an interesting perspective on a lot of issues that do exist in this world. However, it is very long and basically suffering every page. I think you should be aware of that before you read it. I definitely noticed my mood worsening everytime I read it. And I felt down for sometimes even 1-2 days afterwards. So be prepared. Other than that I would still encourage people to read it just because it touches subjects that are very real and things that are happening right now. It is definitely thought provoking, which I guess is its purpose.

ich habe versucht vor der review content warnungen zu geben und dann festgestellt, dass ich eigentlich die gesamte liste auswählen müsste... das fasst meine lese erfahrung ganz gut zusammen. Sybille Berg schreibt aber trotzdem gut, ich höre die theater autor*in, jede person hat eine eigene prägnante stimme, die szenen gehen toll ineinander über und ich mag den zynischen schreibstil. Aber ich musste mich sehr durch das buch kämpfen. Die dystopische welt, die sybille berg beschreibt, wirkt grausam, erschütternd und ihre gefahren für uns nur einige jahre vor (bzw. eigentlich auch schon während) der erzählten zeit sehr real, aber war es dafür wirklich nötig missbrauch und hassverbrechen seite für seite, 600 seiten lang so aneinanderzureihen?

Even though I added a hell of a lot of content warnings to this, it's still worth the read if you can make it through all of that. Also, it felt weird but I had to check "funny" for the tags, because the dark humour is strong in this one and sometimes it gets so hopeless that you have to laugh instead of cry.
