Geta a star just for the concept and some of the ideas that are explored with the sleeve/stack. Otherwise it's poorly written and poorly executed. Id say go watch the show instead but the book was so disappointing now I'm not sure if I even liked the show ..

Wow very gritty dark cyberpunk. It’s great if you’re in the mood for classical cyberpunk noir. Definitely written by a man.

A+ for concept and world building. B for plot - a little convoluted and hard to follow in spots, but I expect that from a hard boiled/noir sort of jam. C for Characters, because Kovacs is really the only one, or maybe Morgan's just not good at writing women, or maybe I got hyperaware of this after an exemplar of "Why Men Should Generally Not Write About What It's Like to Have a Period" that he dragged me through.
