I still LOVE Tig. She's funny and has an interesting take on life and dealing with challenges life throws at you x 100. But I have read and watched a LOT about her over the last few weeks so there wasn't a TON that I didn't already know. The book just wasn't as funny as she IS. That was the biggest disappointment but I think her type of humor may not carry over into the written word. It has some humor but maybe it wasn't supposed to be funny, but I thought it would be. If you are a fan of Tig, you should read regardless, but only to learn more about her life and get a deeper perspective into where she came from.
Even though I am familiar with the story from the documentary about Tig & her show (One Mississippi) that is loosely based on her life, I still loved hearing her tell her story. I was very moved, in part because I started listening to the audiobook on the 1 year anniversary of my brother's death from cancer.

One of my fav comedians - Tig shares the struggles and empowerment of her experience being diagnosed w/ C-diff, breast cancer, and her mother‘s death. All within a short period in the early ‘10s. Loved this book!

I love Tig and was excited to learn more of her story. There are some more sad stories, given what she’s been through. If you’re expecting purely comedy, this probably won’t be what you’re looking for, but I loved it and I’m glad I read it!

I liked it because I like Tig a lot, and I just like listening to her talk (she narrated the audiobook). But if it wasn’t written by her, I’m not sure the book itself was that great overall. But I liked it.
