It's quite interesting to me how similar the TV Series is to this, while at the same exact time, improving upon it's source material in every way imaginable. I despised practically everyone in this, and even though when I watched the show I preferred Serena, I by far prefer Blair here. I guess that has a lot to do with how much better at writing the showrunners were, they made a snotty bitch who sleeps with her best friend's boyfriend incredibly sympathetic (it does help that she's played by Blake Lively too lolol). I was also really bored throughout my read, which should just not be the case. In my opinion, anyone who is considering reading this, just watch the pilot episode instead, because it makes these 200+ pages way more entertaining and fun.

I don't know if because I watched the TV show first, but I really didn't like the book.I didn't like how the characters are described as personalities. The story line is not that exciting as in the TV show. I am not planing to read the rest of the series.

I cannot believe I read this when I was 12. There’s so much I didn’t understand.

Will I try to read the entire series because I own all of it and am trying to get through every book I own but haven’t read? Probably.

Can’t believe we were robbed of a bald Vanessa in the show.
