This was a fun queer vampire romance with a heavy dose of plot. I did feel at times it dragged so I wasn’t as invested as I could have been. I did enjoy all the characters and it was interesting to see how their relationships evolved.

pudo haber sido mejor, pero no lo odio. no es malo, pero no me dejó nada. me divirtió y me mantuvo metida en la trama, pero estoy segura de que lo habría abandonado si es que no lo estuviera escuchando en audiolibro.
las protagonistas tienden a ser "muy diferente a las otras chicas" y eso me molesta mucho, porque de verdad me caían bien cuando no estaban haciendo alusión a eso.
pensé que me iba a gustar más, porque lo escuché en audiolibro y me gustan mucho los vampiros, pero a pesar de eso, la historia a veces se sentía muy repetitiva. todos los conflictos son por falta de comunicación y el misterio es un poco predecible.
no soy fan de la pareja principal aunque tiene unos de mis clichés favoritos (enemies to lovers compartiendo habitación) porque no llegué a conectar con su historia. de hecho, me gustaban más las parejas que se formaron con los respectivos triángulos amorosos de las protagonistas.
esto puede contener un poco de spoilers: hay una muerte, de un personaje que es muy importante para una de ellas, y cuando esto pasa, la protagonista parece no reaccionar. de verdad no le importa: y para todo lo que este personaje significaba para ella, me parece irreal.

I’ve listened to audiobooks that were 50 hours long and felt like they were 10 hours only so to say that this 14 hour audiobook felt like i had been listening to if for 40 hours says a lot.

I enjoyed the first half of this book a lot, it was fun and the world building concepts were interesting, but then the characters started to annoy me in the middle and it felt a bit slower before completely rushing the ending.

okay so i am not necessarily the target audience age wise for this book, but it definitely has pretty juvenile writing even for the age group. Vampire boarding school enemies to lovers book. One of the main characters Kat is supposed to be progressive, but she really just comes off extra SJW. It somehow manages to loops back around and ends up racist and homophobic at times lmao. Kat and Taylor’s relationship was cute but the character development was just not there at all. The miscommunication between them the entire book got old so fast. It was overall “fine” but the actual vampire world felt lacking. idk def just very mid.
