Totally get the negative comments about the white saviour complex one of the main characters have, but I do think that part of the book is more targeted to younger audiences. I think that the main character was really heavy on these topics, but I totally feel like I have seen younger people on tumblr talk like she did so it didn't seem completely out of left field. Was it annoying though? Yes.
Overall though this was a fun romp and I liked the setting. I wouldn't heavily recommend this book to anyone, but I had a decent time while reading it.

I need authors to stop writing dialogue as a mouthpiece for social justice essays otherwise this was cute, had nice concepts going for it but a resolution I personally found not having as much oomph as it could have. I think the same concept executed as an adult novelt would have really gone fully into the themes they brushed up on here. in short: this was nice and entertaining enough! wish it had gone more surprising places!

boring, shallow and a product of the publishing industry becoming a fast fashion type market, honestly only remarkable thing about it was its incorporation of gender inclusive language, which I found unique and refreshing
