I loved this book! I read it during a tough time in my life. Pure escapism. It had all the classic romance tropes that I’ve grown to enjoy. It’s a really wholesome read. I loved seeing Tessa evolve and the lessons she learned. I look forward to reading Bryant’s new book!

a solid entry in the ya romance genre. really shines for providing a u pair perspective. i like the character has flaws and they are not shied away from while also not being too harsh. i love how the story feel like it could be a very true story. very engaging writing

Great YA read! Really captures the intense feelings of being a teenager with drama at school and home. Excited to read the next installment!

A fun YA read. I'll give it a 3.5 for being predictable but the characters were likeable and I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it had a lot of representation and while some things were brushed over, many others were touched on on a deeper level. The main character, Tessa, is clearly not perfect and I love that about her. She shows clear development and remorse from her actions. While I did not like all of the choices and actions she made and how much frustrations they gave me, there is a clear development which I loved. This book really hit home for me and showed how important it is to love and believe in yourself before you can expect that from anyone else.
