Gary Stu protag, stereotypical and unfulfilling romatic relationship, very interesting idea with a forehead smack of a kinda braindead explanation and then a confusing ending that feels unrelated to the tone of the entire rest of the book. Rating is almost solely based on the strength of the basic idea that kicks off the novel, not for execution.
Graphic: Body horror and Violence
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail, Gore, Medical content, Blood, and Death
Minor: Animal death, Car accident, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , Violence, War, Forced institutionalization, and Gun violence

I’m really enjoying the Threshold series! Peter Clines writes characters really well— they’re fleshed out, interesting, and genuinely funny sometimes. I also want to give Ray Porter a shout out again, he is an awesome narrator and definitely adds to my enjoyment of these books.
Graphic: Cursing, Death, Violence, Blood, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Fire/Fire injury, Animal death, Cancer, and Car accident
