This story was okay, but I felt like it didn’t bring anything new to the story. After I finished reading it I kinda forgot what it was about. Just not memorable.

"It hurts, but i can bear it. Because I am a doll, and a servant. Because I am a pretty thing and a soldier all the same"
OUCH.
genya, im so sorry babe :(
I adore genya so much. She doesn't deserve all that shit. She is so strong.
The queen can never be what genya is, she needs to take a grip of her jealousy.
The king is so disgusting and the darkling- manipulative bitch

As the star rating says, it was ok.
It didn't add anything that we already knew about the story, except Genya's point of view.

This short story solidified my love for the Darkling. I really loved the insight it gave into why Genya does what she does.

"She knew him and what he was, but I was the one she resented for it."

So many conflicting feelings.

I really liked Genya in S&B, but I knew there had to be more layers to her, given the givens.
This was a short but insightful look into the background of the goings-on at Os Alta.
