Aside from the FMC thinking 35 is geriatric (AHEM), this was smutty Christmas romcom perfection.

I thought this was okay, I really believed in the relationship. The pacing felt off at points- sometimes it was moving very fast and other times incredibly slow.

Frankie is supposed to be a cinnamonroll, but he is actually just a doormat. And no matter how sexy a doormat is, it's still a doormat. The vacation is really just spending time in Florida with a roommate and no work. The entire plot of this book is that they can't be together. Why? Because they live in different states. They are adults, this is not a reasonable plot. If they wanted to make it work, they could, so why hold back? The book's pace is incredibly slow. There are no true plot twists or suspense or even climax. It's just kind of like these few weeks of normal life without work, and two adults trying not to fall for each other while not trying to avoid that at all. The spice is mid at best. The hotel scene at the end is the only one worth reading. This was recommended on reddit, so I'm disappointed that I did not enjoy this book more.

ok this was cute. what was NOT cute was the dumb drunken fight??? lol at the bar??? when ophelia had one interaction with frankie's friend i mean what the fuck. he's pushing 40 and basically slut shamed her for sitting with his friend. even with fictional men the bar is in hell.

For a debut novel, I thought this was a great book! I rounded up from 3.75. The MMC gets a little too possessive and dominate for me by the end of the book but I am sure it will hut the spot for a lot of other readers. I still enjoyed the story and humor! The way they met is hilarious and you will be cringing with embarrassment for the FMC. A fun smutty Christmas with a HEA. I kept picturing the Natalie character as Mindy from Netflixs Emily in Paris. Same BFF vibes.

I was seriously enthralled from the title alone! This book was severely entertaining and provided me with the perfect amount of humor to romance ratio.

Ophelia and Frankie have some witty banter that really progressed the storyline and a deeper connection that I fell helplessly in love with. The fact that this is a slow burn totally worked with their three week timeline of falling in love. I’m so happy we got to see depth with these characters, which truly felt like a real relationship, despite them “just being friends”.

I related to O so profoundly that witnessing her get everything she deserved was nothing short of a cathartic experience. Frankie is just right for her and truly the perfect key to her lock.

I will definitely be reading more by this author!!
