Oh hell, I loved every minute of this from that meet cute, to them meeting again (what are the odds??) and the butterflies. Frankie, my love, is one of my top fav book boyfriends, and I take those very seriously (just ask my husband).

BELIEVE THE HYPE. READ THE BOOK. FALL IN LOVE WITH FRANKIE. And also Ophelia because my need-to-please-oldest-daughter-heart really found a sympathetic beat for her.
I think it's also important to note: you do note need to read this during the holidays. This is not a story that feels like it only "slaps" (lol) during the Christmas season - unlike many holiday-titled stories, Christmas does not act like a secondary character in this story. The real secondary character who shines as bright as the MCs? THE BLESSED BANTER. Side-bar, you know I'm into a review when I frequently type in all caps.
Ophelia is an elementary school teacher and thrives with lists, post-it notes, plans and schedules. That does not mean she feels like her standard holiday celebration split between her remarried parents households, complete with half-siblings, fills the holiday bucket she needs. So as a change of pace, she decides to jet set from snowy winter wonderland Colorado to Florida where her bestie-for-the-restie has been living. One chance swipe on a dating app in the airport and two chugged mimosas later, she finds herself side by side with a super-attractive, witty and charming man who just happens to be flying to Coconut Creek himself.
What neither of them realize is that
Forced proximity? Check. Chemistry? Check. Agreement to be friends with benefits allowing Frankie to practice-date on Ophelia and for Ophelia to learn what her standards should be concerning her dating life? Check. But something shifts during their days together and both of them realize too late that there is not stopping what they've set in motion.
If you like:
- incredible pop-culture references disguised as friendly insults and playful jabs between characters
- dirty talking, banter that will have you giggling, wild best friends and the mellow-ish girlies that love them anyway
- dual POV to watch as the MMC and FMC both come to the realizations that this "friends with benefits with a deadline" idea was probably doomed from the start..
.. grab this book. Read it, giggle, swoon and love Frankie Casado but be ready for every follow-up book boyfriend to let you down.

Ophelia's best friend has been dating Frankie's best friend for the last year .. and when Ophelia wants to see if she could meet back up with the stranger with sparks from the plane, Frankie's best friend tells him to ditch the airport girl and the dating app and just try to find someone to have fun with for the seasonForced proximity?
