*Christmas in Coconut Creek* was hands down my best read of November, and it’s officially set the bar for holiday romance for me! This was my first dive into the genre, and I’m so glad I picked this one up. The meet-cute between Frankie and Ophelia was absolute perfection—though I’d call it more of a "meet-funny" than a cute one, given their hilariously awkward first interaction. It was such a refreshing change from the typical romance setup and had me smiling from the start.
The chemistry between Frankie and Ophelia was *fire*, and honestly, the plot never slowed down. It kept me hooked from beginning to end, and the spicy scenes? Let’s just say they were definitely spicy enough to keep the pages turning. Frankie, the MMC, is everything I love in a romance hero: broody, a little broken, but still oh-so-sexy. Plus, the veteran trope? It’s always a winner for me—there’s just something about a hot guy with a little trauma and a lot of heart.
I’m also a huge fan of dual POVs, and this book did it perfectly. Getting both Frankie and Ophelia’s perspectives really allowed me to connect with their individual journeys and their growing relationship.
This book set me up to be *extra* excited for the holidays and gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling I crave in a holiday romance. It was the perfect mix of steamy, sweet, and heartfelt, and I’m so glad I picked it up. If you’re looking for a holiday romance that’ll leave you smiling long after you finish it, *Christmas in Coconut Creek* is definitely the one!

10/10. Freaking loved this book. Laughed and cried and swooned! Read this, immediately!
Hands down one of my favorite books of the year!!! This book had so much depth on top of witty banter and great smut. I can fully say Karissa Kinword is a must read author. The characters were by far some of my favorites and Frankie is def a top tier book bf. His struggles were so relatable!! I hope we get more of their romance.
This book was hilarious!! I cackled like 7 times in the first 15 pages. Ophelia and Frankie had great chemistry and fantastic banter. I loved how their story developed.
I really resonated with Ophelia’s experience as an eldest daughter and I loved that she finally took time for herself! She had a great sense of humor and excellent comebacks.
Cannot wait to read the rest of this series!!

Pallette cleanser - war ok, aber nix besonderes. Ganz nett für zwischendurch.
I bit my lip. “This is a bad idea and we both know it.” “I’ve never seen a bad idea that looked this damn good.”
Oh God. Is he…? “I-I think you’re gonna make me—” “Yeah, Ophelia. I fucking know I am.”
“Take anything you fucking want from me.” I wanted his time, his memories, his adoration, his future.
Sometimes shit just stinks and you light a”—she sat forward and twisted the candle on the table toward us—“ vanilla bean latte candle and pretend it doesn’t.”
“Yes, Ophelia. I am asking you, the love of my life, the turbulence to my calm, the brightest fucking sun I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing in all my time in the sky—will you drive me crazy forever, baby? Will you marry me?”

"You two are so good with each other, it's kind of heartbreaking."
The rules are simple: Ophelia teaches him how to date again, and Frankie shows her exactly what she should be demanding behind closed doors. Friends with benefits until the ball drops in the New Year.
Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ️ ️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
When Ophelia leaves Colorado to spend her holiday vacation in Coconut Creek, she is expecting to spend it with drinks on the beach with her best friend, Nat. What she's not expecting is falling into a friends-with-benefits relationship that definitely doesn't have any strings attached, with the man she both 1) matches with online AND 2) shares a flight with. (and who also just happens to be her best friend's boyfriend's roommate!)
I inhaled this! This is actually a reread from early last year, and I am combining my notes and feelings from them & my reread now. I loved this so much and it felt like a little vacation from life to dive into this trip with Ophelia and Frankie. The humor in this is so fun (it's so hard to pick a favorite combo to read about - Nat and Phee, Mateo and Nat, Mateo and Frankie - they all have such great moments together), and gosh the tension between them - you're not going to be able to put this down! And the way Frankie sees her and thinks about her will have you head-over-heels.
🌹: their flirting and humor and banter were top-tier, kicking my feet and giggling. the friendships in this were so sweet and developed as well (truly excited for the rest of the series), and the smut was absolutely delicious. I spent the whole time rooting for them!
🥀: only that this book ended! 💖 I wish we had a chapter for every moment between the ending and the epilogue!
