The depiction of postpartum depression is disgusting. I’m actually really angry. The author acts like the postpartum depression was on purpose and that the mothers only goal was to make anyone miserable. In the second epilogue the daughter says something like “I wish she would have killed herself sooner because it would have made my life easier.” Just awful. This was clearly written by someone who doesn’t understand depression.

I like Eloise, but I wasn’t a fan of this story for her. It doesn’t feel like the way she would behave, Philip was in likable for me, and the whole story just sort of dragged.

My second and last bridgerton book.  Def not worth the hype.
