As expected, Eden Finley has brought me joy with Zeus, the next installment of the Mike Bravo series. In the past books my eyes were for the Mike Bravo character but here, I had eyes for Callie.

Callie is riddled with guilt over his past actions, he’s dealing with trauma over past physical and mental abuse, and sometimes wonders if he should just disappear…permanently. His internal monologue about himself is heartbreaking to read and interjects so much emotion into this story. His character development from just surviving to thriving was a joy to read. And Zeus was the perfect match to convince Callie he was deserving of forgiveness, deserving of happiness and capable of being in control of his life.

Callie and Zeus, though their traumatic pasts (Zeus also has a traumatic event in his past) build a beautiful bond while of course, dealing with bad guys, flying bullets, and the shenanigans of the other Mike Bravo guys who really come together in this book for both Callie and Zeus.

If you like trauma, healing, and of course the laugh out loud banter I’ve certainly come to expect and enjoy from an Eden Finely book, Zeus will give you all of the above. 💙
