This was a great read. My first by this author and I’m looking forward to reading more of her books, including more in this series. I’m especially interested in Dan’s story. One thing I especially appreciated about the storytelling was that the FMC has some lifetime issues with her family. (I’m intentionally being vague to avoid spoilers.) The MMC empowers her to address the issues herself, and that happens gradually. It felt authentic. The book is still fiction and has all the romantic tropes you want, but it was written in a way that felt like HEA is achievable.

This book was such a treat! It had so many of my favorite tropes: brother's best friend, age gap, reformed playboy, hockey, small town, forced proximity. Gracie and Decker had such funny banter and I loved getting to see the dynamic between Gracie and her brothers. This is a strong start to an interconnected standalone series. If you're a fan of Melanie Harlow definitely check out More Than a Feeling.

Thank you Lauren for the ARC!

It’s your classic enemies to lovers, starring famed bad boy, NHL player Decker Brooks and small town library worker Grace McBride. A summer in their small town of Cardinal Springs brings witty banter, slow burn and some quality spice.

This book was so cute and I might have started crying at the end. Thank you to @laurenmorrill for the ARC!
