Lidt mere kedelig end den første, men er igen bare fløjet lige igennem den. Mangler bare den sidste i serien nu.

This was decent! Just like book 1 parts of it were really bad but it still had some great quotes that make you really think. Like how engineering can help the world-but can it actually? Or do systemic inequalities prevent it from ever truly being able to. I’ve really enjoyed that aspect of this series so far!

I felt like Olivia and Sawyer’s relationship barely grew though-they just kept getting stuck in the same arguments/internal thoughts so that got a little repetitive. The cliffhanger on this one wasn’t as good as book 1’s either in my opinion.

Still enjoyable enough though! Plus the audiobook is super short so it’s still worth it!! I’m invested enough in the story and the characters to continue with the series and I’ll probably jump back into it whenever I need a quick easy audiobook again!!

Collide
Off-Limits, Book 2
By: Piper Lawson
Narrated by: Connor Crais, Vanessa Edwin

This is a series I can easily pick up and continue, and just need to know what happens next! It's that much fun! We continue from book one when Olivia found out why Sawyer left his previous position. And we are off and running. Family drama, school antics, back stabbing, surprise windfalls, you name it, the life of Olivia while remaining captain of her academic team is crazy! All the while she is still in love with her older, taboo, gorgeous professor. But while all this is happening, will someone realize their secret relationship? Is she just another notch in Sawyers belt? What will be happening with the team? And in the end, who can she trust? There is a whole lot going on and this cliffhanger left my mouth hanging open! I cannot wait to see what happens in the conclusion of this fast paced, fun listen!

Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin continue their amazing narration of this trilogy. Crais just fits himself into the part of the handsome, older professor. While his voice is warm and swoony, there is always that niggling doubt that makes you wonder if you can trust him. Edwin proves just how versatile she is with the many layers of Olivia. From student, to team leader, to daughter to secret girlfriend, she moves with ease, each different facet having a slightly different sound that matches the mood. I love this team, their voices are perfect for their characters! Bring on book 3!

Olivia and Sawyer absolutely sucked me in.
I felt like I barely took a breath reading. I was on the edge of my seat, just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

The steam in this book may be confined to a few interactions—but, boy! were they intense.
Alpha Sawyer is insanely attractive.

But, umm...
WHAT WAS THAT ENDING!?
That was a twist I didn’t see coming.
I have so many questions!
Connor and Vanessa did a wonderful job narrating their story.

Collide continues from the fallout that was caused by the revelations from Crave (book 1)

As much as they want to be together they are at odds. Can this be something that they can work past, or is it just to much for their forbidden romance can handle?

Olivia and Sawyer have chemistry that is too hot to handle. They have fire and passion but there is one key element that is missing from their relationship. TRUST and without out, can they really continue to be together?

Sawyer is possessive and protective. He is also straight up dirty and kinky when it comes to sex. In her professional life, he is successful, but in his personal life, he is a down right mess. I just loved how Olivia made him stumble. He never expected her and he was gonna do what he could to make her happy.

Olivia is struggling with the hurt and the trauma that followed her past relationships. She carries that into her new relationship which throws a wrench and complicates everything between her and Sawyer. Even with all that, the two of them cannot deny their chemistry and are playing with fire, but for them, it just brings in more heat.

Turning to the one person who eases her struggles: Sawyer. He is the one person that understands her, the one person who believes in her.

They decide to give their relationship a chance but this time with conditions. NO FEELINGS, JUST SEX They know they can’t be together permanently, but why not have a little fun while it lasts. (Sawyer is planning to leave at the end of the semester)

Everything seems to be against them and the world wants to tear them apart. Trying to keep their relationship on the DL, is becoming harder and harder and their need to be together gets stronger and stronger. And feelings start to rise to the surface.

Just when they feel like things are looking up, something else gets thrown in their way. Now, it seems like Olivia and Sawyer’s futures are hanging by a thread.

We are back with Olivia and Professor Sawyer. These two came stay away from each other as they try to navigate all the chaos their personal lives keep throwing at them. From Olivia's family issues, the competition, the death of Sawyers dad, and the dean of the programs vendetta these two have a lot on their plate. None of this counts their inappropriate relationship.

This book spends time filling the gaps to give us a bigger picture. There isn't a lot of action, outside of Olivia and Sawyer's personal time, in this book until we get to the end. Things ramp up right at the end setting us up for the final book where it all will come together.

2.75⭐️ There were elements I enjoyed but overall this book fell flat compared to book 1.

Liv and Sawyer have great chemistry and Liv has gone through a certain amount of growth, but their relationship doesn’t really progress much and there isn’t much of an answer to the cliffhanger at the end of book 1. This is a a bit of a theme throughout the book. Liv’s family issues are touched on but don’t go anywhere. Her friends appear briefly twice, I almost forgot who they were when their names were mentioned. The engineering contest doesn’t move forward very much, more time is spent discussing looking for material than actually doing anything. We get a couple mentions that Sawyer is building a new business but there’s no progress here either.

The university politics were also an odd, somewhat unrealistic choice, but it comes across more apparent in this book than it did in the previous one. It’s incredibly unlikely that a STEM subject would be so underfunded, but particularly for the department head to actively work against his department gaining funding, exposure and prestige on a national level, it came across as juvenile and took me out of the narrative. The cliffhanger was also a bit messy and unrealistic.

For quite a short book it was a bit of a slog to read at times, it seems more like filler for the middle of the trilogy. There are a lot of plot points to be wrapped up in book 3 which hopefully will be tied up but with the way this book was I’m not sure if I can see them being fleshed out, especially given the cliffhanger at the end of this book adding another point that needs resolved.
